our mission

Partnering with Jesus to see people and places flourish again.

We were made to flourish, but we've become broken. Sin's bad fruit is evident all around us: poverty, injustice, violence, disease, discontent, division, and despair. However, the Gospel of Jesus is good news to those who are perishing instead of flourishing. At Fellowship, many are beginning to flourish again, and Jesus calls us to partner with Him to see flourishing flow from our lives to those around us. With Christ, we and the places in which we live can flourish again as God intends.

our vision

Reduce the lostness in our city.

Our dream is to see every neighborhood in Southeast Fort Wayne flourish again. Over the next decade, we aim to partner with 50 churches to reach 50,000 people in 50 neighborhoods and reduce the growing sense of lostness in the southeast quadrant. By 2030, we imagine a tipping of point where men, women, and children are learning to live flourishing lives in Christ, impacting whole communities around them. Then even onlookers will describe Southeast Fort Wayne as flourishing—to God’s glory.

Our Values

The following values drive and motivate us in our mission together.

Everyone Loved

Each person is created in the image of God and therefore has value apart from their ethnicity or actions . And so we regard everyone worthy of love no matter their sin, shame, upbringing or shortcoming. We are authentically ourselves with one another because there is no need to hide or fake it.  Christ has first loved us, so we, too, can love others first.

Everyone Reconciled

Sin separates us from God and from each other. But in Christ, our relationships are reconciled. Consequently, no division, conflict, or bias should separate us from God or one another. Staying unified in conflict is priority. As a diverse community, we love one another by endlessly seeking greater reconciliation with one another before God.

Everyone Empowered

We are a people of prayer, ever dependent on the power of the Holy Spirit. Every disciple has the Holy Spirit and is empowered by Him to see breakthrough that is more than we can ask or imagine. Together, we are cultivating a culture where prayer is present and persistent; producing supernatural outcomes. We are all empowered to be producers to this end—not consumers. We are all called to be partners—not merely attenders.

Everyone Sent

We are all missionaries. We all have a unified responsibility in the places God has sent us—whether it's our workplaces, schools, neighborhoods, or networks. Together, everyone is a partner in the Gospel and everyone will learn how to get better at it as we are trained and equipped. We are a missionary church, full of everyday missionaries filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.

our beliefs

God

jesus

There is one eternal, all powerful, all-knowing, and everywhere-present Triune God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – who is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. (Deuteronomy 6:4-5;  1 Timothy 2:5)
Jesus is God incarnate, yet human, lived a sinless life, died to make atonement for the sins of all mankind, was bodily resurrected, and is now Mediator at the right hand of the Father, is assuredly coming in power and glory for His believing followers, and is the only Savior of men.  (John 1:1, 14;  Titus 2:11-14)

holy spirit

the bible

The Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; regenerates all who repent of their sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ; and sanctifies, empowers, teaches, guides, and comforts the believers.  (John 16:7-8,  12-15)
The Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God and thus authoritative in all matters of Christian faith and practice.  (2 Timothy 3:16;  2 Peter 1:20, 21)

salvation

the church

Salvation is genuine repentance of sin and faith in the atoning work of Christ.  It brings forgiveness to the penitent, makes him a partaker of the divine nature, and gives peace with God.  We call this new birth.  (Titus 3:5;  2 Peter 1:3-5)
We believe in the invisible and universal Church as an organism, composed of all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who have been vitally united by faith to Christ, its living head and sovereign Lord.  (Matthew 16:18;  Hebrews 12:22-24)
