Putting the Neighbor back in Neighborhood

Remember the days when the front porch was the gathering place for a neighborhood? Where whatever was on the grill at your place became a community meal for those passing by? Or maybe when you needed help with a project, it was easy to ask a neighbor to pitch in?

Partnering with the Pettit-Rudisill Neighborhood Association in Fort Wayne, we're working to provide some ways for neighbors to connect or reconnect with those living close by.

Neighbor2Neighbor

Beauty matters, and so does general maintenance of our homes. Do you have something that needs fixed at your house or want to add some beauty to your space, but don’t have the funds or help to get it done? We would love to assist you with your project! The only price involved in getting your project completed is offering a little time to another neighbor who needs some help.

WeeRide Bicycle Program

Get a bike. Grab some gear. Learn some skills!

Nothing says "summer" like breaking out the bikes! But for some of us, the expense of a bike is too much and our kids, (or we as adults) aren’t able to enjoy the ride. We want to be a part of making that a reality, so we will be offering a 3-session fun and interactive bicycle skill program two times in the summer of 2020 that will end with a party where those participating (whether adult or child) will receive a new bike, helmet and safety gear.
Registration is required for this program. Contact us for more details and to get signed up.

Community Food Co-Op

Is money tight and you find yourself struggling to keep healthy food on the table? If so, we’d love for you to be a part of the Community Food Co-op. Meeting twice monthly, you’ll go home with bags of groceries.

This might be a way to stop stressing about this part of life, all the while connecting with other neighbors in Pettit-Rudisill.
